I made this charm bracelet last night from gifts that I have received and have been collecting. The plastic vintage Cracker Jack horse charms were a bday gift from my dear Judi and the vintage metal horse charms from my other dear Judy - hmm just realized they are both Judy/i 's involved here ;) the black roses are vintage beads from a trip to Bainbridge Island some years back and the brass charms are from my recent trip to French General. The one thing I love most about this piece is that the intentions of my friends are within in it and when I wear it they are all with me. And yes I made something Just for ME!
It's a field trip to French General with Judi to visit with Kaari. What a feast for the eyes! I could have stayed longer than the long time that we did - so much to see and soak in. It's like a wonderful treasure nest of delights. Filled with nooks and crannies of color. Kaari is lovely and inspiring - can't wait to go back!!!
I thought I would share some of the journaling I did this weekend. Interesting when you have a good chunk of time where your work goes - for me it was more about my painting process on paper - drawing the image, adding color ( colored pencil and caran d'ache here) and then going back to add details. I realized I draw the same way in which I paint - that the process is the same.
My dear friend Carol had 12 fortunate friends over for her fabulous Valentine's Salon which was a day filled with indulgence, art, gifts, food, friendship and lots of LOVE!
