Native Americans believe that animals are our spirit guides. For me the raven has always been one of my totem animals. They have been visiting me heavily on this trip. This is a shot outside the condo where we are staying. He and his friend were having a conversation ... was it about me?

I have been making Italian Christmas cookies - my father's Sicilian recipe. These yummies are our favorite - made with anise - they are delightful. Good thing I only make them this time of year otherwise I would look like Santa.
