Lord, the air smells good today,
straight from the mysteries
within the inner courts of God.
A grace like new clothes thrown
across the garden, free medecine for everybody.
The trees in their prayer, the birds in praise,
the first blue violets kneeling.
Whatever came from Being is caught up in being, drunkenly
forgetting the way back.

Often, when I go on long rambles in the countryside of England, I think: "Gosh, the air smells so good!" However, now I will remember these beautiful words. Thank you for sharing them today!

I love Rumi's writings so much. This is wonderful "Whatever came from Being is caught up in being, drunkenly forgetting the way back". I'd love to be caught up in being. It happens so infrequently.
