Last Sunday at the Parisian Soiree I saw Jenny Doh wearing one of these FABULOUS crocheted necklaces that she had made ( and might I add graciously gave me the pattern).  That's all it took my friends - and off I went - crocheting happily over the past few days I amounting many necklaces with more to come - Christmas gifts at this point to be sure!

And since I am amassing them in plenty I have decided to GIVE ONE AWAY!

Art Heals

 Reverence 48x36 mixed media painting

November 13th is Free Art for Abused Children's annual Art Heals fundraiser.  I have donated the above painting and the two pieces below to the event in hopes that they will raise some money for an organization so dear to my heart.

A Parisian Birthday Soiree

Yesterday, I took my dear friend Judi to Heather Bullard Parisian Soiree at the Mission Inn in Riverside for her bday.  It was such a lovely day.  And can I just say that Heather is the sweetest, kindest, most open hearted person - I just love her - she is so genuine and dear.

A Work in Progress

A clean studio - that's a relative term isn't it?  It's a work in progress as my friend Judi says ...  At least I can walk around and work!  I decided to break it up into areas so I can leave things out.  A place to work on jewelry, journaling, a clean table for special projects and I moved the office into the closet.  So for now ... until the saga continues ..

Life through the Lens

I have always loved Annie Leibovitz's work.  She captures something of essence.  I bought her latest book - A Photographer's Life - a while back - it was quite expensive but I have to tell you it was worth it - I keep going back and looking at it time and time again.  What I really love is that it is filled with her personal work - her relationship with Susan Sontag - documenting Susan's illness and death as well as that of her father's - so touching - such a beautiful expression of grief.

I just rented through itunes  - Life through the Lens - the documentary her sister did on her and it was amazing.

It is worth the watch to be sure.
