My friend Nina told me if I am blue to go and create something - so I took her advise. My oldest and best friend Denise bought these large pearl earrings from Nina and gave me one for my birthday and she was to keep one - the idea was for me to make something from them so that we would each have one to wear. So last night I decided to finally make them. I have had a vintage rosary laying on my desk for some time now and it called to be a part of this twin. So I deconstructed it and each half has its home in our necklaces. I made them different but similar because that is who we are - very different but shared in spirit and in love. It is up to her to choose which one calls to her and I will take the other. Ironic that the rosary was blue? But they are not imbued with sadness but hope and knowing that I am loved.
For Friendship
May you be blessed with good friends,
And learn to be a good friend to yourself,
Journeying to that place in your soul where
There is love, warmth, and feeling.
May this change you.
May it transfigure what is negative, distant,
or cold within your heart.
May you be brought into real passion, kindness,
And belonging.
May you treasure your friends.
May you be good to them, be there for them
And receive all the challenges, truth, and light you
need.
May you never be isolated but know the embrace
Of your anam cara. (anam cara is celtic for "soul friend")

These thoughts are just lovely and inspirational. Hope you are feeling better about having to return Elvis - you did the hard but right thing. Focus on Artfest and the great time we will have. There is another wonderful dog in your future of that I am sure. There are wonderful friends in your present.
Love, Ginny
