this is my sweet cheyenne who graced us with her love , patience and loyalty for over 5 years. 5 years ago we rescued her after she had been run over by a car on purpose and left to die. When we rescued her she immediately loved and protected all of us. about 6 months ago she started having seizures do to head trauma from the accident. She slowly declined over the past months and over the past 2 days really went down hill and was not herself at all- this morning i knew she was suffering and that was something I could not bear. So my sweet angel is in heaven now and suffering no more. thank you darling girl for the years we got to love you - you will be truly missed.
I'm so sorry Gina - I know you loved her, and I understand how important out pets are in our lives.

I vividly remember having to send our darling Rex (our Dobie of 11 yrs.) to sleep several years ago. I knew in my heart it was the best thing to do for him (he had hip dysplasia), but it was hard for me, my husband, and our sons. You will be grateful to have the memories, photos, and stories to share for eternity though! I am proud of you for adopting a rescue...it's A GOOD THING!

Oh, I am so sorry and am sending you good thoughts. We just adopted a cocker spaniel this month. She was shut up in a crate and left to die. When someone found her she was matted, had sores, was dehydrated, etc. They deliberately never gave her a chance. Our Buffy is a sweetheart and beginning to recover. I have to wonder what in God's name is wrong with some people.

I just found your blog through LK's site.
I am very sorry for the loss of your dog. It is really hard saying goodbye, but remember how much joy she brought to your life and how much you brought to hers. She is still with you and your family... just in spirit now...

I'm so sorry for your family's loss, Gina! We lost our little chihuahua last year from old age. I know it's a hard road, but you'll always be able to look back on your life with Cheyenne fondly.

Oh, Gina, a heartfelt hug to your family. How lucky Cheyenne was to have you as her caretaker. What I've always loved about our canine friends is that it doesn't matter if you are returning from a 3 weeks trip to Europe or just coming out of the bathroom after 2 minutes, you are greeted with the same loving intensity!! Dogs do have a way of loving us unconditionally. Thanks for sharing Cheyenne with your readers. Farewell to your sweet friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know firsthand how hard a decision it is to let one's beloved friend go. Sending you hugs and I hope the memories comfort you.

I am so sorry sweetheart. It hurts so much to lose an animal we regard as part of the family. I have two sweet minature dogs in the house and would be so lost without them. One was my John's pup, and when she goes I will shed many tears. Sending you love... Nita
