Well, I have been busy making gifts for Valentines since I have so much time on my hands. So I thought I would share a little how to on making easy Valentine Candles -
1. Start with a scented candle and take off the label if it has one.
Collect some supplies - go to a scrapbook store and select some cool papers in pink, red, etc, some lovely ribbons, embellishments, a punch , some ink and I love these very cool labels from Cavellini from Barnes and Noble.
Cut a strip of paper with pinking shears and adhere it to the jar.
Add second smaller width of paper to add dimension.
Use a large punch and punch out a circle of paper and glue to the top of the jar ( if your candle has one)
Add ribbon to the lid using glue dots.
Adhere a label to the front of the jar.
Use some distress ink and rub along the edges to give a vintage feel.
Add some buttons with glue dots or hot glue
create a tag using a punch, stickers, brads, embellishments
Use a wax seal on top of the lid
Lovely my Dear. You are really making a lot of art. The boxes for the boys are so nice looking. My goodness are you sleeping.
Best to you.
