Judi, Judi, Judi!!!

Yes, it is an old Cary Grant line and I hear his voice ever time I hear myself say my dear friend's name. Judi, Judi, Judi!!!  Well, Lucky me I got to spend the entire day with her - just hanging out while she painted primer on her newly renovated walls - she has a house that was built in 1909 that she is redoing and it is going to be lovely - just lovely with her warmth and touch.  I decided to take a few shots of some of her collections - displays that she has in the non-construction portion of the house - even when she says it is in disarray it still looks like art - like home - like a comfy nest!! Maybe that's one of the reasons I love her sooooo!!!

I mean really - just one of the many reasons she is my friend and not to mention that she has a lovely family and a husband who is a wonderful blues musician and the lead singer of the Delgado Brothers AND  an incredible cook - who btw taught me to make homemade salsa today and sent me home with a quart!!!  You gotta love em!

13 Days of Halloween

WARNING!!! IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR 13 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN SWAP BOX YET AND WANT TO BE SURPRISED - DON'T LOOK!!

This year as many of you know I decided to do  a few holiday swaps - I figured that I do all these swaps and then never know what to do with the stuff and frankly I have more than enough stuff as my friends will attest.  So I thought why not do a swap where I can use the stuff to decorate for the holidays instead of going out and buying it.  That being said here are the results of the first one - THE 13 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN.  I must say that I was really quite impressed with everything I received - y'all really put your hearts into it! Can't wait to see what I get for the 12 days of Christmas Swap!

Art and Soul Friendships

I have so much to share about my recent venture to Art and Soul in Portland!  This is the first installation - Friendships - I have made so many wonderful friends as a result of these art conferences - individuals that I would never have the opportunity to meet otherwise - so here is to some new friends and to some old - Salut!

This is my dear friends Ginny (center) from Boston, to her right is her niece Penny who we roomed with and to her left is a new friend Juliane from Michigan ~ a dear dear soul!

Here are Ginny, our new friend Helen and I at a great little wine bar we discovered one evening.

And last but not least is the lovely and awe inspiring Juliana Coles - my teacher and blessed to say my friend.
