Lets Start with the good news first ... here are some of the Maryvale Girl's canvases. We started laying down our backgrounds on our canvases for the show this past week. Personally I think they came out fabulously - I am so proud of them. It will be interesting to see how they transform.
On a sadness note - My grandmother, 86, is in ICU with a stroke and they don't give her much time. So I am flying back east tonight on the red eye in hopes that I will be able to say goodbye. It is hard to see someone who was always so strong and independent in her life be disoriented, now paralyzed on one side and reduced to a prisoner in her own body. I pray that she can go peacefully knowing that she was loved and with comfort that she can move forward in faith and be safe.
Gina..I'm so sorry about your Grandmother. My Grandmother passed away last year at 91. It's so difficult to watch grandparents and parents become elderly and unable to do the things they love to do. Will be praying for your Grandmother and for you. Be safe.

I came over for the artful blogger party. What a lovely, colorful blog you have here. I'll be back when I have more time to look around. But for now, I just want to send you a hug. My grandmothers were both very dear and amazing role models to me. What a blessing they are in our lives.

Ack! Uhm, oops. I have no idea why my comment decided to play "Let's Make Copies" on us. Sorry 'bout that. Please delete a handful of them.

Gina, I am so sorry about your grandmother's illness. My grandmother died two years ago and I am still grieving for her. I dream about her all of the time and it is just hard to miss someone so much. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

The girls have created some wonderful art.
Sorry to hear about your grandmother, mine had a stroke when she was 93, she went into a coma for 6 weeks and then, surprise, she came out of it and lived until she was 96. She said it wasn't her time to go.
