I have been really busy with getting the zine finished and working on a new project with Free Arts (more about that later). Here is a little update of a few gems from the past few days ...
This is my sweet girl Ebony who I have had for 17 yrs. She just celebrated her 27th birthday this week -
She really does like to stop and smell the roses on our little walks - animals are constantly teaching us lessons aren't they?
And speaking of those roses and their luscious color brings me around to COLOR glorious color... First after receiving my latest copy of ART AND LIFE and lusting after the lush water color paint chips on the inside cover I just HAD to have some of those
Daniel Smith Water colors and oh they are lovely - can't wait to work with them further.
and lastly a wonderful box of color arrived in the mail. This was a collaborative swap that I was a part of - each person chose a crayon color and had to create and send a copy of their work so that each one could be wrapped around the like crayon. What I got back was a box filled with crayons and fabulous art work!
Oh Gina those watercolors are luscious!!!! Can't wait to see what you do with them!
Ebony is so beautiful! I had a few horses while growing up and I miss riding. Hoping to one day have enough land to have one again. They are such gentle, beautiful creatures.
What a fun swap! I wish I had the ability to participate in something like that, but I'm such a procrastinator...I'd end up stressing so much that it would take all the fun out of it. lol!
I've been meaning to post and say hi ever since I got back from Artfest and I'm just now, in the past week, getting around to everyone's blogs. It was so much fun hanging out with you and the other gals at the tapas place on Thursday night. Thanks so much for making me feel so welcome! :)

Hi Gina,
I found your blog thru Nina's. I took a class of your a LONG time ago. It was in Las Vegas at a scrapbook convention I think. I love your blog and will be checking it out often. It gave me a smile when I saw how close our music choices are. I just saw your Zine and will be waiting for you to list it on Etsy. Can't Wait!

that crayon swap is a GOOD idea-how inspirational to play with when you have artist's block!
