I just want to make sure I am clear about yesterday's post. My best friend Denise's comment was not a negative one at all and I did not take it that way. It was one of encouragement and one of love. She wanted me to share more of myself - the one she knows - with all of you. I believe that nothing in our lives happens without a reason and there are no coincidences but opportunities for growth and our lunch and conversation yesterday was that - an opportunity for me to grow ~ to stretch~ and to take a step forward. I have included Denise's comment today because not only is she the most eloquent writer but her words mean so very much to me and as Nina reminded me ... remember the KIND comments that are made not the negative ones ~ so in so doing here is a most KIND one ....
"Being the bestfriend that you are referencing, I thought I should clarify my comments to you yesterday under the caveat that I am probably one of the more novice bloggers in your community. I faithfully read some blogs, which cover the spectrum of public policy discussions to Gina's blog (and a few from this very art community). In short, it seems that blogging is an effective way to communicate thoughts, ideas, images, personal tastes...pretty much the spectrum of life. As I have only been on this earth for a mere 39 years, I am amazed at what we all carry around on a daily basis--the good stuff and the challenges. I am constantly touched by the stories behind so many of my friends and acqaintances. For me, it provides the "other half" of the person, which is usually the fabric of their souls. Knowing Gina for so many years, through good times and bad, I have been blessed with one of the most thoughtful, intelligent, and beautiful friends a person could ask for in life. Her art tells a wonderful story, but it's only part of her story, which I am certain that can be said of all who visit her blog. My thoughts were merely an encouragement to consider expressing herself in another beautiful way. I love you Sister!"
I love you to ~ my precious friend.
