Well, the time is here .... Tomorrow I fly out to Seattle and then Artfest - Beyond Excited! And of course I thought of one last trade ... A flowering jasmine tea ball (from the Marie Antoinette Movie) !!! Love this Life!!!
Sweet Judi brought me a present today for our lunch and prefest outing. Here she is my light up blue bird - love it - she is protecting the nest (my studio) - Only Judi would know that something like this would make me smile - thank god for friends who truly get you - there are so few!
I finished all my Artfest Trades last night - no more - no more! 17 moo card cases, 20 joss paper packs, and 100 charms - I am done! (at least I think so- hee uh hee) So here they are and now I must focus on packing. My friend Judi and I are meeting for lunch today to go over our trip details - we are spending 2 days in Seattle prior to the fest. Giddy with excitement. I swear we are like teenagers getting ready for the prom!
ArtFest Frenzy continued .... I made these ArtFest Journals last night for a few friends and thought I would share them with you all.
I think they will be fun to journal in at the fest.
Have been working on my studio
so I thought I would show you some
updated photos
- click here to see them all.
I am leaving for ArtFest on Monday and that is what you are going to hear about for AWHILE! Worth it to be sure. Here are some of my latest gifties
for my friends old and new who I will see there. They are little cases to hold MOO cards.
I am assuming that a lot (yes A LOT is two words a pet peeve of a dear friend likes to remind me) of people will be handing this out or trading them.
So I thought it would be a nice little place to store them. Each side of the sleeve will hold a least 2.
Cuteness - huh!
Today I taught a class on art journaling using self portraits in a mixed media notebook. All the women were brave, creative and honest. The work came out amazing. Here are just a few of the pics of their covers
and
childhood pages.
I just can't stop making CHARMS! I have about 100 now to trade at Artfest.
Here are some more I made last night. Anyone out there going to Artfest and want to trade with me? Or do a mail trade?
Dollar Store Finds! Sucha Deal! My friend Carol, her assistant Katie and I went on a little "dolla" shopping excursion the other day. Such fun and such for stuff! And you gotta love all the kitchy "religica" bag and stickers. Stencils, iron baskets, clothes pins shaped like animals, cool contact paper, and fabric bins! Oy - sucha Deal!
See what you want to See. This is a journal page I have been working on in a new journal I created from a vintage photo album - I have had it forever and never did anything with it. I took out the inside which was all ripped up and added fabric and good paper. I have claimed it my self portrait journal.
I will be at SweetPeas and Snapshots tomorrow from 11-1 doing this cute make and take
for their Home Companion party and big sale - with cuppitycakes and champagne. I will also have the samples
of my up coming class
I will be teaching on April 21 there "Moo card Cases and Keys to Life" see the examples
and if you sign up tomorrow for the class I will give you a handmade charm!
