Well, here is the official Christmas card for this year. I worked on different options but this one was my favorite. The pic was an impromptu shot when we put up the tree and I altered it in photoshop. Then I printed it on these pearlesant 5x7 cards from paper source with this yummy antique blue envelopes. The result is a sort of vintage feel. Hope everyone thinks they are as cute as I do!
The trip was fantastic! 
We had such a great time. Wineries filled with great wines - 
Zaca Mesa is one of our new favorites - great wines. And of course we had our usual winery lunch
each day consisting of olive bread, pears, apples, proscuitto, figs, and great cheeses faves are Humbolt Fog (rocks) and Mt Tam by Cowgirl Creamery. We had lovely dinners, shopped, talked, and basically had a wonderful time. We had dinner on Sat. at Matie's Tavern which used to me a stagecoach stop in the 1800's it is old and lovely and was filled with lights and pine boughs fit for a perfect holiday dinner.
Christmas cheer in the Santa Ynez Valley is where my mom and I
are headed today for our annual holiday weekend. Yes, it is 5:30 am and I have been up since 4:00 - a wee bit excited! We head up there after I drop my son off at preschool - it is about an hour and a half drive and a beautiful one at that. We are staying in Solvang 
which is a quaint Danish town at a very sweet inn in the Rose Haven Room. 
The valley is having its annual Winterfest that is filled with holiday open houses, tree lighting, caroling, and a luminaria light gallery walk. Our plans include shopping for stocking stuffers for the boys, wine tasting and picnicking at our favorite winery - Rusack, having lovely dinners at our favorite restaurants and ending Sunday on a tour of Holiday Homes. It is not very often
that my mom and I get to have so much time alone - just the two of us. She came up with this idea a few years ago and it has turned into a real treasure. So I am off with a wreath attached to the grill of my car and jingle bells (no bells really but alas the wreath!)
