It was a bittersweet experience this past week. I had a wonderful time with friends both new and old in lovely Port Townsend at Artfest. Sad that it was an end of an era but know that new adventures are in my future.
My classes were filled with eager students who wanted to capture the luminosity of watercolor. It may look easy but really it is like herding cats - watercolor painting that is ;) However, that is what I love about it - it has a will of its own. You can coax it and guide it but ultimately it does what it wants ~ sort of like kids!
There were winged creatures at every turn both feathered and fluttered but all magical.
I normally don't paint people. But the way to grow - to get yourself moving is to stretch and do something new. I teach many online classes, but I take them as well. I believe we can never stop learning - there is always room for more. So I have started two new classes this week - Misty Mawn's Open Studio Workshop and Pixie Campbell's Soul Lodge.
This is the calendar that I used for my No More Excuses Journal. Barnes and Noble online and in store has the 2012 in stock now. I know it was very hard to find last year so thought I would give you the heads up ;)
