I love these Bascal vintage Italian aluminum tumblers - they keep your drink ice cold but .... they sweat! So I spent the day crocheting them some little cozies to keep the cold in and the outside dry.
what's that saying about idle hands are no good or something? Anyway, I have been keeping my hands busy so I don't go crazy whilst taking it "easy" not something I do well ;) So I have been crocheting away at this Kilm afghan while (shh don't tell anyone - watching the housewives of new jersey on my laptop - I know I know banal fluff but it does take me right out of my head and laugh)
and yes that is Vanna White down in the corner ;) She does make some cool yarns that are soft, washable, and affordable - this dang afghan called for 32 balls of yarn!
Every year I make something to give away for Christmas. This year I am making hand crocheted cotton dish clothes. I started about a month ago and have made about a dozen so far. I am going to wrap them with my cookie baskets and give them away as gifts.
My latest obsession has been making these crocheted fingerless gloves which just so happen to be great for journaling in cold weather AND it just so happens that Tuesday I head out to meet my dear friend LK to go to Journalfest for the week! These should come in rather handy ;)
I love to wear scarves all year round - love them! but sometimes I get to hot ;) So I came up with
the Scarflette ~ same look just narrow and breezy - okay well not
breezy but a heck of a lot cooler with the same look. I have added
small pieces of brass dangles for embellishment so they are sort of
like a necklace and a scarf -
