In today's world it is good for me to remember the things that Inspire Hope - the things that endure time, and place, and circumstance
Things that remind me that I am loved, comforted, befriended and safe
Needing this reminder I took a little "photo stroll" through my home this morning snapping pics of these reminders
gifts from my boys ~ a rare and beautiful rock from Grayson and a jade bear fetish from Payton to remind me that I am strong, I am a mother, I am loved
My sweet Cleo ~ to remind me that I am comforted
The bed Mark and I have shared for 19 years, the indian blanket that we bought together when we first met, the string of raw amber that he bought me that hangs above my head as I sleep ~ to remind me that love endures, that I am protected and I am safe
My sweet boy Bentley ~ to remind me to be present and that I am loved unconditionally
An amethyst geode a gift from my uncle for my birthday ~ to remind me that I have a history of strength and goodness and family
I invite you to join me in sharing your reminders of hope today
I have had this little vintage photo book for along time now and decided it was time to do something with it. I have many - many - photos that I use in my work and some I just have ;) I decided to put them in one place physically instead of virtually in my computer. So with the paper that I had dyed last week I created this little journal. So far I have only started to print out photos and glue them in and label them. Not sure what I am going to do with the opposite page - journal writing, poetry, hmmm
to be continued ....
Hey what's that cat doing there? He is an inquisitive one that Solomon!
It was a warm and beautiful day yesterday so we spent the weekend out at the beach and what better way to get some boys moving but to dye paint some paper (learned this rich and lovely method from lk and believe you can find it in one of her wonderful books) I love the way the papers turn out so soaked with color and life. The boys decided after some pensive painting that "splatter painting" would be the order of the day and I must say they came out rather nice!
